A Hundred Happy Things | Part 1

A Hundred Happy Things | Part 1

A Hundred Happy Things | Part 1 by superkarina5 featuring a cat mug

I took this idea from Follow Your Arrow, a blog that I've been loving recently and really loved this idea about posting 100 things which make you happy. Not only is this a great thing to share, but I feel it will also make you appreciate all these things even more in your life!

1. Tea. I love tea. A good cup of tea always makes everything better.

2. A good book, or just books in general. I love having them around me and always love to read.

3. Scarves. I  nearly always have a scarf on in some form; they make all the difference when it's cold! I own so many as well, it's ridiculous.

4. Candles. I looooove candles; especially Yankee ones! They make a room smell so good, look lovely, and add a really nice cosy and homey feel.

5. Eyeliner. I love my eyeliner, especially cat flicks. And when they go well, and both eyes are even, you know it's going to be a good day!

6. Cats. Need I say more?

7.  Cosy socks! Having socks on also makes all the difference when you're cold! And especially if you whack on some realy cosy socks.

8. I absolutely love when you take something to the till, and then it's cheaper than you were expecting. That is one of the best feelings!

9. Waking up and thinking it's Monday...and it's Saturday.

10. Not having to wash my hair. When it's the days in between hair wash days - yesss!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Do your own and share your 100 happy things!

Homecoming Parade! | New Vlog!

Last week was Homecoming, which I think essentially means alumni come back to campus; I don't reeeeally know tbh though let's face it. So on the Friday there was the Homecoming Parade which Deja, Elena and I go to in my new vlog!
We went to dinner at The Old Fashioned (see above burger!) and then watched the parade. It was a really fun night and we got 'Sconnie' (the term for people from Wisconsin) crowns! Deja and I were loving life.
I also tried my first laffy taffy; banana flavour. Good stuff! Not to mention I love the name :)

For those of you (spoiler alert!) confused by the dying turtle at the end....the Homecoming game was between Wisconsin Badgers and Maryland Terrapins. We thrashed them don't worry, but there were a lot of worse-for-wear looking terrapins in the parade!

You can also check out my video here;  please click 'like' if you did like it and pelase subscribe! It would mean the world to me and I would love you all forever!

Taylor Swift - 1989

Taylor's 5th album finally came out today! 1989 is her first official pop album...and with that having said it is good for what it is. But it is a very different style and a very different Taylor that you hear.
But as a whole the album is pretty damn great; I currently have it on repeat and will probably continue to do so.

I was very concerned for whether or not I would like it. I wasn't a fan of Welcome to New York and so I had a lot of scepticism for this album...but Taylor has once again delivered.

If you're a fan of Shake It Off, 1989 has sooo much more to offer. I'm not going to do a full review; I don't feel that's my place to do that, but it has a thumbs up from me!

The album comes with 13 polaroids with lyrics that Taylor has written on (obviously these are copies, but they're still pretty cool!) You can also make your own version of the cover which as you can see...I had to do :')

I definitely recommend a cheeky listen, even if you're not a hardcore fan!

Have you listened to 1989?

Easy Like Sunday Blogging

Easy Like Sunday Blogging

Easy Like Sunday Blogging by superkarina5 featuring Nearly Natural

So another week has flown by and we are nearly at the end of October! Somebody said the other day that it's only 9 Fridays until Christmas; madness!!

  • This week has been Homecoming; this is something which we don't have back in the UK and the excitement for it is something that is a little bit overwhelming! Wisconsin thrashed Maryland at the game though (!!) aaaand Deja and I went to the parade which was a lot of fun! I also vlogged that day...stay tuned!

  • I have been loving fishtail plaits recently. I have finally mastered doing them! It is all in the thin strands; previously I had been using far too big strands resulting in just odd looking normal plaits. Now I just need to perfect them.

  • So have you seen my new video yet? It's my Autumn Make Up Routine and I'm really happy with it. It's my first video where I've tried not only a different thing, but also different filming and technical apects. Please go and watch it, like and subscribe as well! It would mean so much to me!

  • Speaking of youtube...so youtube is currently not working properly for me. Which is a complete pain. Basically, any video which I have never watched before just does not load. Apparently this is a common problem at the moment and dates back to February and is stll unresolved. A large chunk of my life revolves around youtube so if anyone has any ideas of how to solve this, please share!!!

  • Tonight we watched Hocus Pocus. I had never seen it before; seeing as Halloween is muchmuch bigger over here than back home, it was really nice to take part in a kind of tradition. Watching really bad children's films with hot chocolate!

I hope you have all had wonderful weeks and are getting your Halloween costumes ready! I'm thinking of going as my girl Taylor...more on her NEW ALBUM tomorrow!

Be a Piece of Pop Art for Halloween | Moda

Sooooo this should have gone up yesterday, however the Moda website was down and I didn't want to post something to you all that wouldn't actually work.
But here we have it! This is my article on how to recreate the Lichtenstein style inspired Halloween look above.
If you are thinking 'what on earth is Moda?'...it is the lifestyle, fashion and beauty (etc) magazine here on campus! It is student run and led and we have open discussions in which anyone with a great idea can write an article. There is online content daily, mini issues online and a print issue (which I also have an article in!) every semester. Check it all out here!

Let me know if you give this a go. Spoiler alert, it's really easy!

What do you think?

Maybelline The Falsies

I have had this post on the back burner for quite a while...I really wanted to give this mascara a really good and proper review. We, bloggers, youtubers, everyone, alike all know that this is Tanya Burr's favourite mascara and although that is credit enough to it, I feel like when a big name blogger like Tanya expresses these kinds of views you then tend to only ever hear that that's why people love something.
Now don't get me wrong...I bought it because if Tanya Burr loves it, it's not going to be bad is it?!

I only brought to the States with me my Lancome hypnose mascara which I adore, but I felt like I needed a 'drug store' version to use for more everyday. So I thought I'd give The Falsies a go; I got them in 'Black Drama' which I think just means they are a bit blacker than the original ones.

The brush is a bristle applicator and not plastic and the wand does have a little bend to it if you really work it. At first I wasn't quite liking the way the brush works and it came across a little clumpy. However after getting used to it, and using it everyday for weeks...I do love it. It makes my lashes look much longer and they are definitely thicker and blacker.
The only issue which I have with it, which has remained despite my thinking that it would go away after I perfected my technique, is that it is a bit clumpy. On one of my eyes, my eyelashes are a bit weird and overlap in odd angles (I know; and I'm sure you're imagining this a lot worse!) So it may just be because of my eyelashes, but as long as you know how to work the clumpier looking lash, then it's fine. And it is worth the length this gives you, without being spidery!

So overall I would definitely recommend The Falsies. It reminds me of Max Factor's Falsh Lash Effect, that I loved throughout my teens, but this is most definitely better!

You can get Maybelline (Volum' Express) The Falsies at Walgreens here for $7.79 or at Boots here for £7.99.

Are you a Falsies fan?
(Falsies has started to sound so weird after writing this!)

Things I'm Guilty Of...Blog Edition

Things I'm Guilty Of...Blog Edition

Things I'm Guilty Of...Blog Edition by superkarina5 featuring tea cups and saucers

I recently (I say recently, today) saw this post on Autumn Leaves and really liked how this is a personal insight into bloggers...but the bad side of them!
So here are the things I'm guilty of...

  • I generally do whack out my posts on a daily basis...for that day. It's not because I don't like planning them/am unable to do so (ignoring time difference difficulties...) but I actually enjoy them being that up to date and I just go with whatever comes to me on that day!

  • I am pretty lazy with my photos...as you will have noticed my discovery of and love for polyvore have developed pretty much simultaneously. But sometimes, I'm just gonna google image my blog photo...At least I'm admitting to it!

  • On that note...I have also been known to use poor quality photos...I'm sorry everyone! I always profusely apologise!

  • I'm pretty fussy with the posts that I read; not anything to do with the quality or anything, but more, if the title doesn't draw me in...then I'm probably not going to read it.

  • I alwaysalwaysalways read back over my posts and preview them before I publish them. With this said, it really annoys me when bloggers have spelling errors or even typos in their posts. We all take a lot of time and care on our posts and it just really disappoints me when a blogger hasn't checked things like this over.

So these are (only some!) things which I'm guilty of...what are yours?

Avon Mega Effects Felt Tip Liner

So firstly, I know you will have questions about the last photo...I'll get there!

This eyeliner is amazing. After my wonderfwonderfulwonderful Eyeko Skinny Felt Tip Liner ran out (still mourning :( ) I had ordered the Avon Mega Effects (it calls itself a liquid eyeliner, but I can assure you, it's a felt tip. So that's what I'm calling it) eyeliner way before I moved out over here so had slightly forgotten about it. Until it came and Mother shipped it over to me; and am I glad she did!

At first glance it does really resemble some sort of board marker in miniature form. And it did take me a couple of days to get to grips with the pen-like shape of the...brush? It's not really a brush, but I hope you get what I'm saying here. As you can see, you can use it to do both thin and thick lines; the thin lines take a little mastering, but once you have the technique (angle it appropriately) it's so easy to use! I mean don't get me wrong, it hasn't yet taken over from my love of the Eyeko Skinny...but it's pretty darn close!
If anyone recalls my frat selfie, you may have noticed that my cat-flick game was on top form that day. It was all thanks to this bad boy!

Now for the last photo...the relating article for this is to come! However I have used it here to just demonstrate how strong this eye liner is. It's what I used to not only do my eyes in that photo, but also the face lines and lips!

You can get this eye liner online here for currently only £3.50 (normally £6.50!) (Note: you have been forewarned that the Avon websites are some of the worst I have ever used and will frustrate you to no end!)

What do you think of this eye liner?

How I Got a Better Nights Sleep

Whenever I was waking up over the past few weeks, my back would hurt soo much. I felt like an old woman as I rolled, and I mean rolled, out of bed. I would then sit at my desk rolling my shoulders and doing all of those stretches you do to click your back. And it was bloody annoying, let me tell you.
Then one night I just moved my pillows slightly so that  one wasn't completely on top of the other...and to my amazement, the next morning my back did not hurt! I then completely removed the second pillow and my sleep and back were so grateful for it. I have always needed two pillows to sleep and I thought that that was now how I was going to live the rest of my life to be perfectly honest. But now I know the error of my ways! One pillow is definitely the way to go!
So if you're having sleeping troubles or back troubles like the old woman I am, then try switching up your pillows!

As a side note, I used the above picture as whilst I was searching for good pictures of people asleep and pillows (I can't take allll my photos!), pictures of sleeping cats just kept coming up! So I had to go with this one!

Let me know if this helps you!

Easy Like Sunday Blogging

Easy Like Sunday Blogigng 3

Easy Like Sunday Blogigng 3 by superkarina5 featuring beauty products

I cannot believe how quickly these weeks are flying by! This weekend seems to have gone pretty slowly though which of course I'm not complaining about!

  • So today I had my photo shoot for my Moda article today; I haven't seen the photos yet but it's definitely exciting! It's amazing to think I'm going to have an article published in a magazine!

  • Today we went to a different mall, but a much better one. And low and behold...there was Sephora!!! Currently I am majorly lusting after their superstars set...but I was good. I reigned myself in...and only bought two things! I didn't even buy anything in the aisle of doom. Well done Karina! All I got was the Formula X nail varnish in 'Alchemy'; it's limited edition and I had to get it after seeing it in Fleur's video. I also picked up some of the Ole Henrikson wipes...which were a little treat to myself!

  • Now I'm sure everyone is aware of my love of Taylor Swift (from here on out she will just be referred to as Taylor). She is sent from the gods. She is my idol in life. And on Monday she released Out of the Woods; I had a full on breakdown trying to get it...if you follow me on twitter you will have seen it in action! I am loving it. 8 days until 1989 !!

  • I received my Social Security number this week! I was really excited, which I know probably sounds really sad...but it made me feel like I am really at home :)

  • For those of you who read this post last week... you will be pleased to know that I managed to finalllly order that Asos scarf! It only took me two different orders, one being refunded...but yess! (There have been a lot of Fleur inspired things going on here...#noshame)
I hope that you have all had a lovely week! I've got a really great idea for a video that I'm hoping to get out to you this week...if I can film it!

Gone Girl

Firstly let me just say some opening words about my lack of blogging for the past couple of days...If you follow me on twitter then you will know that I couldn't blog one day this week due to being bed bound with one of the worst headaches I have ever had. Pills did not help! Everything just got very hectic and busy and I didn't want to rush out some half-hearted post so...I am back today in the blogger's seat!

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I read this book in the summer of 2013 and absolutely loved it...apart from the ending. Which just kind of, ended. I'm not going to give anything away (spoilers and being sticky are two things I absolutely cannotcannotcannot bare).
Last night I went and saw the film which I had been really looking forward to seeing. And I was not disappointed! I had heard a couple of people say that they were disappointed, however most of the people I have heard say this have not read the book so I think maybe that is an underlying issue here!

I'm sure we all know the storyline by now. Nick's wife Amy Dunne goes missing on their annversary. As the search and the film progress, Nick becomes more and more seemingly suspicious to the police, yet he didn't do anything. So what did happen?
And that's where I shall leave you hanging on the plot...

I thought that the film had been really well done. Rosamund Pike played the part of Amy soso well; on a whoooole other scale from her part in An Education! I never realised just how talented an actress she is! I did feel that she comes across a lot more...psychotic in the film than in the book as you obviously gain a lot more from thoughts in the book. Ben Affleck I thought as well was really good, and I can't even remember the last thing I saw him in.
My one main difference between the book and the film was that I found the film to carry on a lot more at the end than the book does. And so I felt that the film had a much more satisfactory ending!
I do feel that it works better as a film if you have read the book. I feel that it is just much more comprehensive; not to mention the book is soso gripping!

Overall; if you can read the book before the film stops showing and then see it. Do that. I assure you, it will make the whole experience even better. Definitely recommending both of these! Also get some rootbeer with butterscotch in it; it is the best beverage to have at the cinema!

Have you seen the film? Or read the book? Your thoughts?

You may remember that I have been alluding to a new video project which I was not only really excited about but that was very different to everything I have done before...
And here it is!
This is the first of my paintings in the current project I'm working on and I'm not only really happy with the painting but also the video.

Easy Like Sunday Blogging

Easy Like Sunday Blogging #2

Easy Like Sunday Blogging #2 by superkarina5 featuring tea cups

I cannot believe a week has already passed since I last did this post! I'm hoping you can tell I have upped the ante with the post...and made a banner for this one ;) (Oooh get me trying to be all fancy; emphasis on the trying!)

  • If you watched my latest haul, then you will have seen me having a little ramble about Michelle Obama and seeing her speak! It really was so inspiring and I am so glad I got the opportunity to go.
  • I really feel the need to share just how nice people have been to me this week; I have genuinely felt so overwhelmed by it all.
Firstly, when I was struggling to pay for a hot beverage; (I was trying to count out $4 in change, literally out of ten tonne of coins) a girl then just paid for it! It was such a beautiful moment; I could have cried.
  • The same day, as I already mentioned in this post, a lady gave Deja and I free tickets to the musical Once. They were great seats and she wanted nothing for them!
  • And then yesterday, in between working the earliest shift possible and the latest shift possible, a girl from the first floor (who I do know!) came to my room and said she'd got me a gift because she saw it and thought of me. It was a really cute mug :) I was so touched!
  • People this week realy have been soso nice and it has made me feel not only welcome but really as if I'm at home here. I couldn't be more thankful for not only all of these lovely people I have mentioned, but also everyone that I have met here.
  • If you follow my instagram, then you will have seen that my few Zoella things finally came! I'm sure I will be posting about them at some point. I really like the look of all of the products and will definitely be looking into trying more of them when I'm back in the UK.
  • I recently really started to enjoy Gabriella's videos. I am really loving her vlogtober; she's such a really nice and down to earth person. And I love hearing all the English accents now; I have a new found appreciation!
Speaking of youtube, I have also been looooving the SacconneJolys. They are all so cute and lovely and funny; not to mention all of their dogs are like a stampede! They really make me happy to watch them :)
  • As a side note, the scarf in the picture above is one that I have been lusting after ever since FleurDeForce mentioned it in a favourites video. I need it in my life...but it's sold out both in the UK and the US!!!! Whyy!!
Essentially, this post has mainly been what's really made me happy this week and just how lovely people have been!
I hope you've all had good weeks!

Why Rose Gold is so Great

Let's just think about it for a moment. Pretty much everyone loves anything and everything rose gold. (Still having dreams about those Zoeva brushes...) And whilst staring at my Autumnal nails, red base with rose gold glitter chunks over the top, it hit just hit me why exactly rose gold is just so great.

Red and gold are such a brilliant combination. However not only do they definitely say Autumn, but they most definitely say Christmas. The two colours compliment each other extremely well (I could go into the colour theory here as to why...but I shall resist!) and rose gold is essentially an all-year-round version of this great combo.
Rose gold is a slightly reddish-pink toned gold. Thus it's already got that great combination of colours, but with the pink understones in there, it works for every season. And, everything!! And boy am I glad that it does. Let's face it; would the Naked 3 palette have sold so many if it hadn't been in a rose gold tin? With a rose gold brush? I doubt it.

So to whoever who came up with rose gold, I take my hat off to you. (Quite literally; I just got in from a grill shift. Don't ask).

All hail the beauty that is rose gold!

Once - The Musical

The first time I ever heard about Once was about five or so years ago, and the film was being advertised on a DVD I had borrowed from a guy I was seeing at the time. I then kept looking at Once in HMV and even when it went down to £3 in a sale, I still never bought it. Yet that intrigue had always stayed with me.
Then when Deja and I were at the Overture centre to see Michelle Obama talk (see my most recent video here where I ramble on about this for more info!), we saw that Once was showing there. I had already received an email about this and its first night was that same night. It is only running there until Sunday; so whilst waiting for The First Lady, Deja and I planned when we would go.

And oh my am I glad we went. As we were about to buy our tickets (student price, yes!), a lady came up to us and gave us two free tickets right in the Orchestra. They weren't together, but right behind each other. She wanted no money and disappeared as soon as she had given us the tickets!
So there we were; sitting in free seats that we were waaayy better than the ones we were going to pay for and it was truly one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.
The audience is invited up on stage before the show starts with the cast whilst they are playing songs and it creates such a lovely atmosphere.

What really surprised me about the musical, was the immense talent of all of those involved. There is only 13 characters and each of them is a part of the orchestra; they all sing and play all of the music. And it is a truly wonderful thing to see. Not only that, but all of the songs are so incredible. I have left a video below of one of my favourites. Stuart Ward and Dani de Waal who play Guy and Girl have such a lovely relationship throughout the whole thing and their talent really was amazing. Considering it is also set in Ireland (there were some great jokes in there that I definitely laughed at more than anyone else!) Ward is in fact English (hollah!) but his Irish accent was incredible!
A recent review I read by another student here at UW for Moda explained it as being almost a love story, almost a comedy; that is so very apt! I still just can't get over it to be honest!

If you ever get the chance to go and see this truly wonderful masterpiece, you definitely need to! I could rewatch it over and over! I will also definitely be buying the DVD next time I see it; on sale or not.

Autumn Haul | Video

Ohohoh, what's that? Another haul? Yes that's right my friends! I done another haul for you all to enjoy :) This one, in case you haven't already worked out, is all things which I have bought for the Autumn season, which is of course the best one.
There is also a ramble in the middle about my recent experience of hearing Michelle Obama talk...I'm not going to say anymore; I say it all in the video :')

And come on, look at that face in the thumbnail. Doesn't it just draw you in?

Dinner for Breakfast

When one of your flatmates suggests going to a place on State Street that serves dinner for breakfast, obviously my answer was going to be yes!!!
So this is where we went on Friday night, to Short Stack Eats. And it was soooo good. The place had a lovely atmosphere, as the tables were all decorated with old postcards and letters which was a really lovely touch. Your sign to show you had ordered was also the bent number plate which was an unusual feature and something I've never seen before. (I say that like I'm some big restraunteur...or something...haha I'm not.)

One of their most unique features is that they do a 'Blind Special' in which you don't ask what it is or even have any idea what it is, but you pay half price and just await your food! Deja and David braved their dish...and got chocolate and banana pancakes. Not too shabby! I was tempted however the possibility that it might have been 'Biscuit with Gravy' was just too risky.

Angoli and I went with sourdough French Toast. It came with heavenly mascarpone. The whole thing was sososo good; despite the fact I gave all my berries away. It was so yummy! It was also such a lovely night out :)

As a cheeky little bonus and sneak peek of the rest of the night, here is a photo of me loving life at a frat house...
The frat life is definitely for me!
(And my eyeliner game that night was so en pointe!)

Would you have dinner for breakfast?

Barbie's 55th Birthday

Over the weekend my sister (who remember lives in Japan) went to an exhibition which was showcasing Barbie in order to celebrate her 55th Birthday!
And seriosuly...she looks so good in all these photos! My sister took them and edited them, so all credit to her. When she sent them to me I said how good Barbie looks; I'm jealous and she's a bloody doll! Even her make up is spot.on. Those eyebrows!

Aside from listing all of the features of Barbie's numerous looks which I am jealous of, I will leave you to just kepe on looking at these amazing images!

Which of Barbie's features do you want?!

Welcome to Madison! | Video

If you read my new weekly post yesterday, then you will have read that I have had a couple of video projects which have been ongoing...I finally edited and uploaded one of them today!
I filmed and vlogged just some little areas around where I now live, mainly the Lakeshore and Terrace area. I thought it would just be nice to actually see where I am now as it's such a lovely area and seeing it like this gives you a much better feel for the area than just photos!

I hope you enjoy watching this video, and if you would like to see more of this kind of video then please let me know!

Also, be warned but there is a lovely close up of my face! Youtube also edited some of the shakiness of the video, so I apologise for the moving words at the end!

You can also watch the video over on my channel here.

Please like and subscribe for more of my videos! Thank you for watching :)

Easy Like Sunday Blogging*

As you might have guessed, I am hoping that this will be my new Sunday post! Although I blog on most days, I'm not always actually talking about things that I've done, so I thought that I would start catching you up on my week every Sunday.
Essentially I'm just going to ramble on a bit more than normal every Sunday from now on, hopefully!

  • I had my first midterm this week. That's right, I've already had an exam. Madness! If I was still back at homehome, I would only have just started back at uni this week! It's crazy how different the system is over here.
  • We went to the Mall yesterday (after I had a complete mare with work...) and it was soo nice. Damage was most certainly done. Like a true UK blogger/youtuber I had quite a moment in Bath&BodyWorks. Their candles are absolutely gorgeous! And I of course had to get the 5 for $5 hand sanitisers; they smell so damn good! I also picked up a really cute little tray and my absolute all time favourite lip balm/hand cream. It's by a company called Bigelow and I first got it in New York years ago. There was an incident with a sink of sand with that one however...and I hadn't seen it anywhere since! So obvs, had to pick that bad boy up!
  • Some really exciting news...Moda is the lifestyle magazine here on campus that's student run. And I'm writing a piece for the fashion section of the print issue! I don't want to give anymore about it away...but I'm really excited! You can check the magazine out online here. I'm also working on a make up/art piece...so stay tuned for more info!
  • I have two new videos in the mix at the moment. Both of them have been quite a while in the making; one simply because I've just been a bit lazy, but one because that's the nature of the project!
I'm hoping to get them edited and uploaded pretty soon but I'm really excited for you all to see them! If you also have some suggestions of videos you'd like to see I am definitely open to them!
  • This next thing is a kind of shameful favourite...shameful in the sense that I am a little reluctant to say that I am really loving this at the moment. In Charlotte Russe at the mall yesterday this song came on (we at least think it was this one!) and having now found it on youtube I am really loving it. It's Someone Else by Miley Cyrus, and I'm not a big fan of Miley herself but her Bangerz album is actually a lot better than I was expecting! So all presumptions I made, I have retracted! Listen here and share in my new song obsession!
  • I have also just discovered Polyvore. So.Good. Go, sign up now and waste hours of time. Sorry, it's not wasting time at all

*Originally this was posted under a different name. However when a friend of mine suggested this title, I had to change it!

I hope that you have all had a lovely week! Please let me know if you enjoyed this post, and what you've been up to this week :)

Gilmore Girls (on Netflix!)

For those of you that know me, you will know that I adore Gilmore Girls. And when I found out that it was coming to Netflix, this was just as I was finishing rewatching it for the gazillionth time, I was overjoyed.
Rory Gilmore is everything that I hoped to be and Lorelai even more so. They are both just, there aren't even words.
So essentially, this post is not only share my love for Gilmore Girls, but to also share the joy that it is now on Netflix, and just to give pretty much an insight to my evening ;)

Your thoughts on Gilmore Girls?

Autumn Wishlist 2014

Autumn Wishlist 2014

Autumn Wishlist 2014 by superkarina5 featuring Louche

Tomorrow we are going to the mall! I am sosos excited; apparently there is meant to be a bit of snow and it's an hour bus journey away...but it should definitely be worth it! Some nice girly time will definitely be appreciated :)
I then thought that seeing as there are quite a few things that I will be hopefully getting my hands on, I thought I would share them with you!

I have found some really nice (and cheap!) fabric dungarees that are flower patterned. They are not the pineapple ones shown here, but actually sunflowers. Ever since I saw them I have been thinking about them! I then want to pair them with a plain white tshirt as I don't actually own one... I think they'd be really nice with tights and a jumper too.

I also NEED to replce my American Eagle jeggings. I need to stop wearing them.

I really need a moisturiser to pair up with my Hydraluron and am not sure what one to go for...I love the Clinique one shown above but it's a bit pricey for me right now!

I also really want the Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Pink Truffle. Tanya Burr had been wearing it in a lot her September vlogs and it looked like such a lovely everyday colour but will transition really with Autumn. I love the Maybelline Color Whisper I have so definitely want some autumnal shades of those!

What's on your Autumn wishlist?

Mint Jalapeno Jam

That's right my friends, bright.green.jam. This is what I was eating in my The British Tag video, which if you haven't seen, click here to watch that bad boy. But yes this is my Mint Jalapeno Jam!
Now I know some of you may be thinking this sounds absolutely disgusting. However, my American flatmates here, everytime I said how mint jam is so weird, would reply with 'That is not weird! It's completely normal!' ...
Not in England my friends!

I picked this up at the local Farmer's Market here and when I first saw it weeks ago, I just thought that it sounded so gross it must be delicious, otherwise who would eat that??? And I am so glad I got it! The smell is weird...so if you ignore that, spread it on some bread and enjoy!

I'm quite sad I can't readily share this with everyone, but next time you see some, definitely try it! I promise, it will taste better than you're expecting. (But it does have a kick!)

Would you try this jam?

The British Tag | Video

Some of you may recall that quite a while back now there was The British Tag making the rounds. I originally did this as a blog post and I there explained that I felt awkward about doing it. This was partly because of the tag theme of it, but also because it was primarily a video based tag. I had always been planning on starting a youtube channel but hadn't gotten round to it at that time/ hadn't mustered up the confidence/ gotten rid of all my awkward feelings towards it.
However...I finally started my youtube channel and so, as I explain in the video, I thought that there were a few reasons for now making this tag as a video.

I hope you like it, and if you'd rather watch it on youtube then feel free to do so by clicking here. I also apologise for the thumbnail; it didn't let me choose my own one of the awkward shots it normally does. So there you go. Enjoy!

Please like and subscribe as well if you enjoyed this video :)
