Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Who can say that using anything by Elizabeth Arden doesn't make them feel sophisticated? Just saying the name alone makes me feel a little bit more like I have my life together.
Like Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish set, Bioderma, Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is one of those products that everyone raves about and never has a bad word to say about. And I, my friends, am no different. This stuff is amazing.
I'm not going to lie, I'm not really sure exactly what it is. I'm going to go with it's something along the lines of Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream... But it does work wonders, or should that be magic?

The first time I used it, I read the back that just says 'Apply liberally as often as necessary'; and I did. All over my face. It was, to say the least, not the best idea. I eventually learnt and honed in on where this stuff really works.
I am currently in that stage where I'm not ill, I don't have a cold, yet am having to blow my nose all the time. It's as if I am on a one-woman-mission to rid the world of all of its tissues. Anyway, we have all been here and know just how sore this makes our rosy noses. But not anymore my friends! Whack a dab of this on your nose at night, and the next morning it's asif a tissue never touched it.

I also have a horrendous habit of picking the skin on my thumb; don't judge, we all have bad habits. And again, Eight Hour Cream on it and it's almost as good as new. (Except for lacking a bit of thumbprint...)

And of course, it's probably the best, if not at least one of the best, lip balms that there is on this planet. (Rememebr when everyone kicked off at Tanya Burr for wearing it in the no-make up Children In Need campaign? That's how good we're talking here).

Not to mention that that 7ml has lasted me the entirety of my time at university. And I'm a fourth year now. And it will see me out to graduation. And beyond. A little (and I mean little) really does go a long way with this stuff.

There is no reason why I wouldn't recommend this skin protectant cream, and you can get it here.

What are your thoughts?

The Good Feels

I have been sat at my desk working on the dissyb for many hours. My back hurts, my right shoulder (still) hurts and few words have been written. (Mucho of the reading has been done though, so really winning). However things are not all bad, despite there being shitty weather (could it just stop raining?), work and more work steadily looming, and the fact that I still haven't started the mountains of catch-up work I have (lolz).
But here is a list of things that show the world is not all that bad! There is hope for us all! So grab some tea, have a cheeky little read and then have allll of the good feels.

1. Putting on the brand new cosy socks that you got for Christmas and they are JUST SO SOFT.

2. Wrapping a blanket around your knees that goes down to your ankles like an old lady, just because it's actually so warm.

3. Having tea in the mug that you really love but kind of forgot that you had and suddenly there it is in the cupboard.

4. Starting a fresh candle. Like a really good one, such a giant Yankee candle in one of your favourite smells. (Candy Cane Lane is burning as we speak).

5. Spontaneously getting a takeaway. If you haven't been thniking about it all day then it doesn't really count as unhealthy right? Yes.

6. Starting a new book that you've been wanting to start for ages and it then turning out just as you had hoped.

7. Getting a new pen for Christmas and it writing like a dream. GLIDE PEN GLIDE.

8. Signing up to Amazon Student (free 6 month trial obvs) and taking full advantage of the FREE same day shipping. Seriously. Madness.

9. Nail game being en pointe.

10. Any sort of make up game being en pointe really. Brows. Eyes. Lips. Contour. Or just any life game being en pointe. I am currently nailing the oversized boyfriend hoodie and blanket look currently.

Don't you feel better? And besides; it's almost hump day!
What are your happy thoughts?

Happy 2016!

I am pretty much done with making New Year's Resolutions; I think this might be the first year in which I have not even considered making one. Because let's face it; they always either fail or are forgotten by mid-January.
In one week, I will be turning the ripe of old age of 22 (please have Taylor Swift ready to play everyone). This is something that I am just about as ready to accept as the fact that I graduate this year and that maybe I can't handle getting horrifically drunk as well anymore.
And so instead of making any big resolutions, I am just going to stick to plodding along as I always do. Can anybody say 'I'm on a very day-to-day basis' as well as me??

Happy New Year everyone! Thank you to everyone who keeps reading, and supporting The Kazlight Anthem, despite my (extremely) sporadic posting! It is all muchly appreciated.
Now go and have an early morning cheeky tipple, whilst I attempt to work on my dissyb (dissertation for those not in the know)
