On Sundays

It's been a while hasn't it? Things are probably going to be a little slow around here for a little while as I foray into the real world and becoming an actual adult (?!?!) I started my actual jobjob on Monday (#workinggirl) and so am slowly working on a whole new routine. This now means early mornings. I commute now (!). Prepping lunch the night before. Enjoying dress down Fridays. So bare with me everyone; we will get there!

In the meantime, here are some things that I have been loving in my absence from here :)

Gap Leggings. And by leggings, I mean the stretchiest jeans I have ever put my legs into. And I only do the stretchiest of stretchy jeans. INCREDIBLE.

H&M are quite on it right now. I got an incredible work bag from there for under £30 (it seems to have escaped the website), but they have such good things at the moment for Autumn.

I will be enjoying the Lush Sparkly Pumpkin tonight!

M&S Cookie Dough Bites. Seriously amazing.

Have you been to Milk Train? See the above photo for why you should!

The Apprentice. Anyone that says thank you for being fired is a legend in my book.

I've rediscovered my love of Vaseline (mainly the Cocoa butter one). I don't care that people say it actually isn't good for your lips; it is so soothing on any dry skin.

This article about career advice was so good.

Got this table mirror from Ikea. It maybe a little too big for my desk, but makes putting make up on so much easier (and I feel a little fancier!)

YANKEE SOFT COTTON CANDLE. Why did I deny you for so long!?

The likelihood that I will be internet free next weekend is high, but I hope to post at least something in the coming days...

Have a good week, and Happy Sunday!

On Sundays

Lazy Sunday Blog Post? Check! I have spent today with Mother, eating, drinking many hot beverages (above: M&S Hot Chocolate Orange - yes as good as it sounds), and buying things we don't really need. I am finally caught up on Bake Off and have spent the entire afternoon in my dressing gown.
Here are some things I've been loving this week!

I am loving the Emerald Street newsletter. They email everyday, but it is definitely not spam.

I've been reading The Girl on the Train. Almost read the whole thing in a few days; squeezing it in before seeing the film!

Speaking of films; Bridget Jones's Baby. AMAZING.

I really want these make up stickers.

Kaleo - great autumnal listening!

Got a Lush Butterbear; cannot wait for my bath tonight!

Happy Sunday!

On Mondays

Happy Monday everyone! Sorry for the delayed post, essentially no internet can be blamed! I hope you all had a lovely weekend; mine was spent catching up on Strictly and doing nothing. It was great! It also included the smallest flat white I have ever seen, as shown above.
I don't have too much planned for this week but I definitely have some errands to run. Top on that list? Eyebrows!

I recently rediscovered my love of MakeUpSavvy; this was one of the first beauty blogs that I ever started reading and it is just so good!

The Christmas selection in Boots this year is so good. It's not available online yet but my two stores at home are filled with it all!

HomeSense are so on it with phone cases right now. I just picked up a great jigsaw one!

I've already started switching up my nail colours for more autumnal tones. Currently loving this one.

Speaking of MakeUpSavvy and Christmas, Fee has done an amazing post on all the advent calendars coming up this year!

MintVelvet have such a good sale on at the moment; picked up this beautiful jumper.

Dupe Ikea pots! (You'll know the ones I mean!)

Have a good week!

On Sundays

Boyf and a couple of my friends from university moved out into London this week. Two of us ended up going to Ikea, mainly for the meatballs...partly for practical reasons. But mainly the meatballs. I got twenty. I felt no shame!

I am spending today celebrating with my family for my Nan's birthday; afternoon tea here we come! Les parents went away this week and I have barely spoken to Mother since Monday; I am looking forward to a good catch up! (She doesn't have a phone - I know.)
I hope you're all having a good Sunday!

Bobbi Brown writes a letter to her younger self. This is really lovely and inspiring.

Want to see inside Kate Spade's apartment? Now you can!

This video from Oprah. It is so motivating. And only a minute!

How female staffers in Obama's cabinet got their voice heard.

Avoiding 'like-chasing'; I didn't realise this was a term, but it's so true.

Happy Sunday!

On Sundays

I had my first PSL the other day. But as it's been so hot here this week, I went with the frappe version which I had never tried! Definitely the best combination between summer and autumn! I'm spending the day chilling with my parents today; I am so happy for a peaceful day!

Have you heard of Book Marks? It's like Rotten Tomatoes but for books! It rates books with a grade making it easy to choose your new favourite.

Glossier. This company is literally doing so well. This article about it was really interesting. And this one! (P.S. Please start shipping internationally!)

We have recently started using the app Wunderlist. It's so handy for making any sort of list, and sharing them!

The Dog Story. Made me actually lol. (P.S. I have a great dog story!)

Cake Mascara making a comeback?

I did not know that Meghan Markle was behind The Tig !?!?

I loved this video from Louise Pentland aka Sprinkle of Glitter.

Have a good Sunday!

On Sundays

This week has been pretty crazy and intense! I have barely stopped for one reason or another; nothing that I want to mention just yet... but we shall see! I'm just trying to spend this Sunday relaxing and catching up on tv that I've missed this week.
Have a good weekend!

How often do you call your mum?

I've tried cute new cupcake places lately; Cutter&Squidge and Sweetheart. I need more recommendations!

I loved this post about the things no one tells you about friendship.

I recently signed up to Claire Carusillo's newsletter. I already love it.

A great post about changing your eyebrows.

I am in love with a journal; but two different prints! This one and this one; I can't decide!

Happy Sunday!

On Sundays

Happy Sunday! Boyf and I spent the week eating good food, having  picnics and going on long walks; if only we had a dog!
Here are some things that I've been loving lately.

House hunting? Hopefully you won't experience any of these Terrible Estate Agent Photos!

If you're a Gilmore Girls fan, then like me you'd be wishing you could go to this town's fan fest.

The Vogue Documentary air dates have been released!

I adore my Victoria's Secret travel make up brushes and their related sets are so nice.

I have just rediscovered this song by Dry The River.

The Danish Collection has fast become one of the shops I wish had money to spend it all in.

I keep reading reviews of Emma Cline's The Girls; cannot wait to read!

Everything leather from KikkiK.

Have a good week!

On Sundays

Boyf and I sadly ended up having to chamge our plans so we have been chilling and trying to make the most of freedom! I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and here are some things I've been loving lately.

The Olympics has brought out some great photos. This one of Usain Bolt and this one of Jess Ennis Hill are brilliant.

This video of Trump supporters is ridiculous.

How jazzy is this song called Karina?!

I cannot get enough of Rosie's Instagram.

Although Summer is quickly leaving us, I loved this post for Summer reading.

Do you have runner's knee? I certainly do!

M&S have got a huge sale going on right now.

Have a great weekend!

On Sundays

Aaaand they're back! My Sunday posts will hopefully now be back to normal! I am currently sat with a face mask on (one of those full face Korean things that is a bit terrifying) and have basically been here all afternoon watching the Olympics. (Max Whitlock!!!)
I hope you've been having as much of a relaxing weekend as Dusty up there, and here are some things I've been loving this week.

I really want some of the GB Olympic kit.

A BLUE Lobster has been caught!

I cannot wait for Erin Loechner's book to come out!

I have rediscovered FleurDeForce and am loving her.

There are new Benefit releases for eyes and lips!

A really cute beach library.

This Bobbi Brown video is incredible. So simple!

Have a great week!

On Mondays

I know, I know what you're probably thinking. She doesn't normally post about Mondays? But seeing as July saw me quite absent from the blog, I thought we might as well shake things up a bit!
A lot has happened.
July saw me move back home, watch the boyf graduate, graduate myself as well as fill my days with anything at all. I have read numerous books. Cleared through old magazines like there is no tomorrow. Celebrated birthdays. Eaten way too much food. Met new people. Organised my beauty collection (I do not need anything.)
Now we are over a week into August (already!) and here is a Sunday-meets-Monday post for you, filled with the things that I've been loving lately.

I (finally!) bought this plate and the matching cup from H&M.

I am absolutely loving Bear's Den and Blossoms music wise.

I am currently in a phase of trying to make bendy rollers a thing.

Mac Velvet Teddy. Enough said.

These M&S glasses are my new favourites.

After seeing the poster at tube stations, I've just watched the trailer for Wiener-Dog; definitely on my must-see list!

I recently acquired a Jack Wills rucksack; their bags are so en pointe.

It's the Olympics! I'm finding Google the best way to keep up with it all.

I am really appreciating having started my One Line a Day Diary last year; reading back what I was doing is really really nice.

This Boots Time Delay moisturiser is my new favourite.

If I wore glasses, I would definitely buy this Paperchase case.

It took me a half hour at least to unsubscribe from Apple Music; unsubscribe today from everything you're accidentally paying for!

The Garnier Ultimate Blends Collection have been the cause of me receiving a fair few comments on the condition of my hair lately; the Honey Restorer is the way to go!

How was your July?!

On Sundays

Happy Sunday! Mother and I went to a family wedding yesterday and it was really lovely. We have now been running around all day trying to get things done just before I go back up to uni tomorrow. And then ... Boyf and I are off to Rome! We leave on Wednesday morning; keep your eyes peeled for Italian posts ;)

I have hunted around EVERYWHERE this week for this Oliver Bonas make up bag (not including the three odd years I searched!). IT'S FINALLY IN STOCK!

Do you Thank Google? And say please?

Romeow - Rome's first cat cafe!

I really want these H&M bowls.

I've been really liking Jasmine Dowling's blog.

There's a live camera of the Trevi Fountain!

I'm loving Catfish and the Bottlemen's new single.

After a long weekend, I am happy for a night in!

On Sundays

Happy Sunday everyone! I have quite a few updates today! I had my last exam on Friday and have now completely finished my degree! Boyf and I then ran 10K this morning in the Two Castles Run; it was wet and cold but we did it! (I didn't beat my personal best, but I still did it!) Here are a few things I've been looking at this week:

This Blake Lively hair and make up how to.

I went on a bit of a blush binge and got this and this (the Nars!)

This photo coincidence is insane!

I sort of, only partly, forced Boyf to watch Crazy, Stupid, Love last night. David Linghoggen! It's such a good film!

I'm really intrigued by this Candle Subscription Box.

I really like this dress; so many colours!

We are going to try New Blood tonight; have you seen it yet?

Have a good week!

On Sundays

Happy Sunday! This is my final Sunday of working and I'm really trying to power through. On Friday I will have finished my degree! We (read: boyf, whilst I lay in bed trying to revise) are barbequing today and the pork smells so good; I can't wait!

This article on How Not To Be Alone was really interesting.

I am just about to finish watching Marcella. Did anyone else watch?!

This hamster video brought me so much happiness.

I also loved this video. So cute!

Even after Friends, Jennifer Aniston still looks good all the time.

Speaking of which, this guy spent a year looking for the real Ugly Naked Guy!

I'm really considering ordering an Erin Condren Life Planner...

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

On Sundays

As it is currently Bank Holiday we have gone back to the boyf's for the weekend. The first glasses of Pimms have been had, which essentially means it is nearly Summer! I hope you are all enjoying a nice Bank Holiday and here are some things I've been enjoying this week.

We have recently started watching Taskmaster on Dave. Ohmyword, it is so funny. Greg Davies gets comedians to do completely stupid and ridiculous things. Definitely check it out!

Speaking of programmes. In The Club on BBC. It's Series 2. Seriously, catch up and watch!

This video of Tube lines as People is also really funny.

I've recently been lusting over all the jewellery on Oh My Clumsy Heart.

I had my eyebrows waxed by Benefit this week. As part of #BoldisBeautiful you get a free Gimme Brow with every pre-booked appointment in May! Hurry!

I've been reading a lot of articles about drinking more water. This was a great piece.

Some of these Nora Ephron quotes are priceless.

Have a great weekend!

On Sundays

This weekend marks the end of nearly all of my degree! If you follow me on Twitter, you'll have seen that this week I've done two exams, handed in two long essays and my dissertation! With one exam to go the end is nigh! I hope your weeks have been productive and that you've had a relaxing weekend; here are some of the things I've been relaxing with this week.

I read this article about two buildings in New York having a Post-It War. Some of the creations are amazing!

I bought two new hair masks the other day and cannot wait to try them! I got this Tresemme Oleo Radiance Creamy Moisturiser and the L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil Mask Pot. Both on offer right now!

I watched a whole load of these Nifty videos yesterday; love the Washi Tape Bookmarks!

After finally having the time to paint my nails I am loving Revlon - Fearless.

The boyf and I have been loving watching this guy's videos; he's Italian, called Gennaro, and is just so happy!

We have also been loving the half price frappes at Starbucks this week. The S'mores ones are so good. And today is the last day of half price!

I really want this Paperchase notebook. (I almost bought it the other day when the boyf made me put it back; I will have it!)

Happy Sunday!

On Sundays

Photo via Bloglovin' on Pinterest

This time next week I will only have one exam remaining and then I am finished with university! It's been a bit of a slog to power through these last few days, however visiting three different coffee shops has certainly helped!
How has your week been? I hope more fun than mine!
Meanwhile, here are a few things I've been enjoying from around the web.

My sister and I mean to do one of these every year. This year will be the year! (I'm definitely tempted by the make your own stationery one (p.s. did you see this?)

I really want to read this over the summer.

After reading this article, I now really want these (K obviously!)

The boyf and I watched this the other night. So cute.

Currently living in these shorts.

It was Eurovision last night!

Have a good Sunday!

On Sundays

After going out to dinner last night and falling asleep to the final of Masterchef, I did not take my make up off properly, meaning that I now have smudged and smeared lipstick over my wrists where I've wiped it off in the night. Please tell me I'm not alone in having done this? I know I won't be alone in saying that revision is  just not getting better, so here are a few things to help you have a relaxing start to Sunday whether you're revising or not!

It was the Met Gala on Monday; I mentioned my sort-of-underwhelmed state about the fashion. My sister agreed! What were your thoughts?

It's Vogue's Centenary year! I've started off my weekend reading through their gorgeous special edition with Kate Middleton on the cover. I have loved Vogue for many many years and my wardrobes are topped with my multiple stacks of them!

This Princeton professor made a CV of all his failings (I feel mean saying that!). He listed all the academic placements that he did not get to show his pupils that not getting something isn't always a bad thing.

Whilst trying to finish reading through my (36 page!!!) dissertation, my motivation started to wane. I bought this pouch/clutch as a treat to myself to power through. It's hand-made, limited edition, and I got one of the last two in stock! Not to mention it's beautiful!
(p.s. see it here too!)

Feel Unique has 15% off Benefit! (And other deals too!)

I recently bought these sandals and am already loving them!

Nyx is doing so well right now. Their Lip Lingerie range and their Soft Mattes have been my go-to lip products for months!

Labour's Sadiq Khan is sworn as London's new Mayor.

Happy Sunday!

On Sundays

It was one of my best friend's birthdays on Friday and so we headed on out to Meatcure for dinner. The above was my burger, the New York New York and my word was it good. Chicken, pickle, sourkraut, mustard, pastrami, brioche; so good. Just looking back at that photo is making me hungry!
So my weekend definitely got off to a good start! We are going to watch Captain America: Civil War tonight. I am yet to have seen any of this Marvel franchise at the cinema before so I am excited! The boyf and I also got some really good looking burgers (again I know; don't judge) for dinner tonight which I cannot wait for!

How is it May already?! Let's remind ourselves of April.

Have you seen this cat? It's so photogenic it must know it. And so fluffy.

Speaking of cats, I would definitely vote for this one.

I am currently cutting out sugar [at least trying to!].
This definitely helped; do you have sugar face?

If you got caught up in all the hype of Lemonade, Beyonce's new visual album but don't really want to fork out the money for it, you can listen here on Radio 1!

I posted off my voting ballots for London Mayor and London Assembly yesterday. Make sure you're all prepped to vote!

Have a good weekend!

On Sundays

Invest in a really wolly pair of socks for indoors when you're chilly, wrapped up in bed with a cuppa coffee:

Term 3 is approaching here in Warwick which means the library (not that I ever enter that space of doom and dread) will be full by ten am, stress levels will be through the roof, deadlines approaching and not to mention the dreaded E word (Exams). My personal timetable this year isn't too bad so my stress levels haven't quite peaked yet but I am prepping myself by trying to get ahead on everything for when they do. This week thus far as been essay and revision filled. Exciting I know.
So here are just a few things that I've been loving at the moment.

I have currently been loving Essie - Sand Tropez. It has also lasted ages! I'm finding that it's the prefect neutral to wear between bolder shades.

I've been getting extremely broody for my own home lately and looking at DIY Playbook has not been helping!

I need this bar cart. (Seriously. I have been showing photos of it to everyone).

I am still obsessed with this. (And remember 10% Student Discount!)

How I wish I could go to this exhibition!

I recently signed up to the New York Times Running Newsletter - motivation and top tips! (More on my own running soon to come!)

I often get headaches (more on that to come also) so I have been trying to reduce my caffeine intake (and increase my water intake) so have been switching up my regular tea bags for either Green Tea or these Tea Pig Bad Boys.

It was the London Marathon today!

I finally managed to give blood again this week. Giving blood is such a great cause and takes only an hour out of your day! You might even be like me and have special blood (!) which means it's even more important you donate. Sign up for an appointment today!

xoxo
